Rob Currie<\/strong> has over 35 years of experience working in public and private sector security, anchored by extensive international experience in federal policing operations, domestic counter-terrorism response, intelligence management & operations, crisis management, cyber investigations, and tactical command. Rob currently designs and delivers corporate security and crisis management programs across a variety of industries in the private sector.<\/p>\n

He is a retired Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) officer, having served in a variety of roles including Incident Commander (ICS400), drug enforcement, technological crime, national security, and tactical unit command. During his law enforcement career, he had the privilege of serving with the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command (CANSOFCOM) from 2006 to 2010, managing responses to domestic counter-terrorism events as well as providing support for the war in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n

After his policing career, Rob transitioned into the private sector, leveraging his incident command and military experience in senior roles including Manager of Physical Security at the Bank of Canada (2015), Chief Security Officer at Scotiabank (2015\u20132018), and Vice President of Security at Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts (2018\u20132019).<\/p>\n

Rob\u2019s career has exposed him to a wide array of \u201cbattle-tested\u201d crisis management experiences such as barricaded hostage situations, terrorist attacks (Ottawa 2014), high-risk executive protection (Somalia), major cyber attacks (Mafiaboy 2000), warzone digital forensics (Afghanistan), civil unrest, labour disputes, high-risk asset transport, and multiple hurricane responses.<\/p>\n

He is currently the owner and founder of RCAS, a crisis leadership consultancy. Rob also serves as the Canadian Chapter Chairman of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management (ISRM) and was named an ISRM Fellow in 2024. He is a registered speaker with the London Speakers Bureau and has supported global events including multiple ASIS conferences in Canada, the U.S., and Argentina, several Mastercard Digital Safari events, the World Gaming Protection Conference, and the Gaming Security Professionals of Canada Annual General Meeting.<\/p>\n

At the PSG Conference 2025<\/strong>, Rob will co-lead an interactive session on Extreme<\/strong> Crisis Leadership<\/strong>, drawing on decades of operational experience and offering practical, battle-tested insights into what it takes to lead when it matters most.<\/p>\n
