Dr Schmidtchen has had a varied career as an Army officer, management consultant and public servant.
He has worked as a strategic workforce change agent delivering large scale organisational change and with teams on individuals on culture, organisation and behaviour.
New technology is reshaping the way work will be done and how organisations are shaped. The challenge for all leaders is to ‘build the boat while sailing it at racing speed’. Dr Schmidtchen’s role is to assist leaders and managers to make good workforce decisions that will deliver higher levels of performance in a period of profound workforce change.
Dr Schmidtchen writes and presents regularly about topics he is passionate about or questions that he has about people, work and organisation, drawing on both his experience but also the lessons of history and philosophy.
