While studying a broad scope of related subjects, in accounting, tax and economics, Dave found his passion in people and the reality of wanting to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, completing his degree with a specialisation in Business Management.

Working in and owning his own business for over 21 years, he realised his passion for people, in providing a superior experience for his clients. Winning industry and personal awards along his journey were testaments to the success of his consumer centric approach to business.

Dave started the Institute of Strategic Risk Management’s (ISRM) first Cyber Special Interest group in 2022, attracting cyber influencers and students from around the globe, providing a platform for the exchange of expertise, knowledge, and experience, raising the cyber maturity of organisations globally.

Qualifying as an Axio360 practitioner, Dave successfully helps organisations understand and mitigate against the ever-increasing cyber risks organisations face on a continual basis.

As the General Manager of the Cyber-Tech Institute of Australia (CTIA), Dave has taken this business from a start-up within the Risk 2 Solution Group, to a respected and reputable brand in the Cyber education space, highlighting a strong movement toward women in Cyber and STEM.

Speaking at various events, Dave speaks openly about the need to upskill and reskill the workforce to a level of cyber knowledge and understanding embedding the culture into an organisation.
Technology and Education are two aspects of Dave’s life that he holds extremely close to his heart. This ties in with his philosophy of being current, being relevant, and being a trailblazer in any field in which he operates. “My inspiration comes from people and the meaningful difference that I am able to make in their lives”. I am forever humbled by the words of Khalil Gibran, “you give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give”.

Dave enjoys long-distance running, with triathlon recently being added to his list of keeping fit hobbies.
