Biography

Jasmin combines serious tech, engineering safety and an appreciation for design across some of the most challenging environments, from highaltitude mountaineering to becoming the first Australian woman to both commission and operate a nuclear reactor. Bringing experience from senior technical and strategic advisory roles in the government, research and emergency services sectors, Jasmin is the inaugural Future Technology Fellow at the Centre for Defence Research, a Fellow of the Institute of Managers & Leaders and Vice- President for Advanced Technology at the Australian Risk Policy Institute.

Jasmin is also a Certified Nuclear Security Professional with STEM and Cybersecurity specialisations, a member of the Steering Committee of the Australia-India Youth Dialogue and she has held Directorships including PMI Sydney, award-winning mental health charity Mind Blank, Women in Nuclear Global, ADAZen and the Institute for Regional Security, ranked in the top 20 Best New Think Tanks globally in the 2017 GTTTI rankings.

Jasmin holds qualifications including a Bachelor of Science (Physics), Graduate Certificate in Intelligence Analysis, Graduate Diploma of Management, MBA, Master of International Relations with Excellence and a Master of Applied Cybernetics with Commendation. Her academic research surrounds sensitive technologies and their implications.
