Damian McMeekin is a senior international risk and issues management executive, and Senior Counsel to Kroll risk and financial advisory solutions. Previously he was Managing Director of the Asia Pacific focused corporate intelligence practice of the influential global research and campaigns group Crosby Textor, ANZ’s head of Group Security, and a senior officer of the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade serving in both Australian and international positions. In those roles he has developed, led, undertaken, and advised sophisticated and effective risk, compliance, due diligence and issues management programs internationally in both the private and public sectors.
Damian chairs the Australian Security Medals Foundation and is on the Board of IDCARE, Australia and New Zealand’s national identity and cyber support service. He is a life member and former President of the International Security Management Association, Honorary (life) and former Board member of the International Banking Security Association, former President of the Asia Pacific Association of Threat Assessment Professionals, and represented the banking and finance sector on Australia’s National Critical Infrastructure Advisory Council.
Damian was raised in Papua New Guinea and Australia, and is now based in Melbourne.
