Mr. Price has twice been awarded an order of Australia: An OAM in 2009 and an AM in 2017.
Peter Price AM is a director of Crime Stoppers Australia and Crime Stoppers CEO in NSW, which is attached to NSW Police Force.
2024 marks Peter’s 25th year in Crime Stoppers.
He served as Vice President of Crime Stoppers International (located in The Hague) for 14 years and played a significant role in the relationship with INTERPOL in running global campaigns, mostly around fugitive apprehension, online child sexual abuse and environmental crime.
He was invited to the White House to engaged in strategic discussions on cyber security, during the Obama Administration.
He has spoken at the United Nations and represented Australia at many international Policing / INTERPOL conferences around the world.
Peter has a diverse background. Born in the UK, schooled in South Africa and the USA.
He served in the South African armed forces. Attended university in South Africa and studied both Law and Advertising.
His experiences as a victim of multiple crimes in South Africa helped steer him in the direction of violence prevention and law enforcement advocacy.
Those experiences have taken him on a life path which has positively impacted millions of people around the globe.
In addition to the Criminal Law roles, Peter has undertaken a Civil Law role:
He was the Deputy Chairman of the Australian Government’s “Classification Review Board”, appointed by the Governor General, for 7 years.
And a Director of the Internet Industry Association from 2011 to 2014.
