Stewart has been with Virgin Australia Group Security for the past six years, including the last year as the Head of Group Security. This wide spanning role is accountable for aviation security, border facilitation, access and identity, cargo security and security training across all domestic and international operations. Prior to commencing with Virgin Australia, Stewart spent 11 years with the Australia aviation security regulator across a range of roles, including three years at the Australian Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia, conducting aviation security capacity building in the region. Stewart brings a keen focus on preventative and cooperative aviation security. He is an accredited ICAO Aviation Security Instructor and holds that ICAO Aviation Security Professional Mangers certificate.
