Dr Paul Johnston

National Practice Lead – Risk Management Capability & Culture with the Risk 2 Solution Group, Dr Paul Johnston FARPI FISRM ChFInstP ChOHSP CMAS RPP MATMA is also the Academic Lead at the Institute of Presilience, and Editor of the ISRM Global Journal.

Paul has 30 years of operational and management consulting experience in both the public and private sectors, during which time he has provided HSES and enterprise risk management advisory and capacity development services to a wide range of industry groups throughout Australia and internationally – with this encompassing a number of major infrastructure, transport, and oil & gas projects.

Holding accreditations as a Fellow of the Australian Risk Policy Institute (FARPI) and the Institute of Strategic Risk Management (FISRM), a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Presilience (ChFInstP), Chartered Generalist OHS Professional (ChOHSP), Certified Master Anti-Terrorism Specialist (CMAS), Registered Presilience Practitioner (RPP) and Member of the Australian Tactical Medical Association (MATMA), his areas of expertise relate to public health and safety, security risk management, and capacity development.

Adopting a behavioural science approach, Paul actively integrates the principles of organisational psychology and risk management to facilitate sustainable cultural change and leadership development that is supported by, and actively aligned with, wider management and operational frameworks – thereby facilitating HSES and enterprise risk management as being truly “business as usual”.
