Adam Byrne

Adam Byrne is the Group Chief Security Officer at The Adecco Group, responsible for leading protective and cyber security operations for one of the world’s largest recruitment agencies.  Adam’s career began in the NSW Police Force, where he specialised in counter-terrorism operations, prosecutions, and organised crime investigations for over 13 years.

Adam has built a diverse career in global security, serving as a Security and Risk consultant in Fiji and Papua New Guinea, lecturing in policing at Western Sydney University, and advising multinational corporations and government agencies on strategic security matters. His international experience includes delivering law enforcement and defence training in the Republic of the Maldives to their national security forces.

Recently, Adam was the Chief Security Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at Boeing in the Pacific Region.

A lifelong learner, Adam is a Sir Maurice Byers Fellow at Charles Sturt University and an alumnus of Harvard’s JFK School of Government, where he completed the Crisis Leadership Executive Program.

He holds an Associate Diploma in Policing (CSU), a bachelor’s degree in emergency management (UNE), an MBA in Human Resources (UNE), and is currently completing his master’s in cyber security (CSU).
