Simone Wheatley

Simone Wheatley, is the National Security Director for Microsoft ANZ based in Canberra, she brings almost 30 years of expertise from a career in military intelligence, security management in the nuclear industry and Cyber Security Consultancy for the public sector. She has dedicated the past decade to Microsoft in the UK and Australia, leading national security teams and evolving national security compliance and strategy. Among her notable achievements are overseeing cybersecurity for major defence initiatives, managing multimillion-dollar secure facility projects, and developing security programs aimed at enhancing security culture and compliance. Beyond her professional commitments, Simone enjoys spending quality time with her husband, three daughters, and their Labrador, often embarking on family adventures to explore Australia.
